​​​​​​​​​​Chalk Walk & ArtsFest is BACK on August 5, 2017!

10am - 4pm


Chalk Walk & Arts Fest is a multi-generational community arts event incorporating sidewalk chalk art, live music, and art experiences in historic downtown Dansville. Rain or shine!


Event Highlights:

  • Juried Chalk Artists create sidewalk chalk art at Dansville Public Library (adult category) & at Genesee Community College (youth category). Look for Melissa Gartz, Jeff Miller, Rose Miller, Zoe Veaunt and Ayden Walker.
  • Community Chalking - Help us create 101 feet of sidewalk chalk art! Sign up with this form to be a community chalk artist! FREE chalks if registered by July 29. Pick up your chalks at Dansville ArtWorks beginning at 10am on August 5.
  • FREE art mini-workshops at our Main Street festival site at 11am, 1pm and 3pm: 

Debbie Betts hosts paint & paper workshops for all ages.

Emily Bowers teaches fiber jewelry techniques (age 4-7 beading/age 8 and up basic crochet/experienced crocheters will make a beaded necklace or bracelet).

Susan DeMuth & Juli Severson use mixed media, paint and pen and ink

in their workshops for all ages.

Jackie Donohue of Kit Kat Pottery leads bowl, tray and

holiday decoration making for ages 5-15.

Kim and Margaret Swink of Swink Girls Quilts teach fabric and

card stamping for all ages. 

  • Live music by Steel Alchemy Community Steel Band (10-1) and Groveland Station (2-4).


Everything starts at Dansville ArtWorks, 178 Main Street, Dansville
